According to the agenda released by the city, the council will be discussing the Economic Development Department and service delivery topics and timelines.

The Economic Development Department is a new department created to bring economic development to the entire City of Tifton, not just the downtown area. IT was funded in the city’s budget, which was passed at the June 18 regular city council meeting.

The council will also hear a report from the solid waste committee.

The committee, which includes council member Frank Sayles and council member Johnny Terrell, was tasked with discussing what kind of services the city needs with Richard Golden from Golden Environmental at the June 4 workshop meeting.

Budget discussions are also on the agenda, along with comments from the mayor and the council.
