MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County man accused of photographing two underage girls could face additional charges after police examine his cell phone.
Christopher Shawn Dove has been charged with two counts of child molestation.
He is accused of having the girls, ages 10 and 15, pose nude for him, Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chris Robinson said. Police think the activity started around late October of this year.
“One of the children disclosed it to the mother,” Robinson said.
Both of the girls were interviewed with the assistance of the Hero House child advocacy center in Moultrie.
Additional evidence has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for analysis at a crime laboratory, Robinson said.
Based on what is found in an electronic device, Dove could face additional charges.
Dove has been denied bond and also is being held on a charge of violating parole.
Dove was convicted in April 2009 in Mitchell County on charges of possession of cocaine and attempted violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was sentenced to a 10-year sentence and served a total of about 33 months in two stints in prison between October 2009 and July 2013.
He has no prior convictions for any violent crimes or child molestation, and thus is not on a sex offenders list.
