I’m tired of the tax office thinking of the property owners of Grady County as the Horn of Plenty. My horn has played out. When your taxes are the majority of your house payment something is horribly wrong.

 

What percentage of Grady County is owned by plantations and how much are they contributing to the coffers with all their perks, such as the Conservation Reserve Program? I think the programs are great except when they’re living the life of Riley while I can barely make ends meet in my mediocre world.

 

Grady County needs more deputies, more and new patrol cars, extensive repair to the roads and the county administrator’s answer is raise the millage rate. All the monies that continue to go into Lake Fiasco continue to drain the taxpayers’ kitty and nothing to show for it but a large mudhole. My question is what percentage of Grady Countians will actually use this lake?
