MOULTRIE, Ga. — On the evening of Saturday, July 29, The Foundation at Southern Regional Technical College is thrilled to present “Dueling Pianos: A Southern Soiree” in the ballroom of the Colquitt County Arts Center. Featuring the wildly talented Andrews Brothers, Dueling Pianos is a fun-filled musical party, according to a press release from the college. The Andrews Brothers know well over 1,500 songs, the press release said. Each song that they play throughout the evening is requested by guests, making the audience a part of the show. All song requests will be in the form of donations to SRTC’s Foundation, which annually provides more than $100,000 in scholarships to students in the seven counties that SRTC currently serves. Along with musical entertainment, the SRTC Foundation will be showcasing outstanding alumni from the community with a special presentation. The foundation is currently seeking out candidates for the Distinguished Alumni Award which have excelled since they graduated from Southern Regional Technical College, or from the former Moultrie Technical or Southwest Regional Technical Colleges. Graduates from any year are eligible for the award. Members of the community may nominate a former SRTC student, and alumni may self-nominate as well as become part of the SRTC Alumni Association for free by visiting http://southernregional.edu/alumni-network. All stories must be submitted by July 10. The soiree will begin at 6 p.m., and the entertainment will go on into the night until 11 p.m. Tickets include a southern-inspired supper, and at $50 per person or $75 per couple, the college said it expects space to fill up quickly. (Unlimited beverage armbands will be available for purchase for just $10.) Tickets and sponsorships are available now.
