Save our money
“I bet the owner of Horizon Mills is ‘excited’ the city’s going to spend $150,000 to study their property. I say don’t spend taxpayer money on private property. …They need to understand you can’t save every old building in this city.”
Way to go
“I would like to give a great big Rave to Quitman Day, fifth grader at Matt Wilson Middle School for being the top salesperson for the Sally Foster contest. And also to Joshua Bonds, kindergartner at Annie Belle Clark School, for being the top salesperson that sold the most for the Sally Foster fundraiser. Congratulations, boys. Way to go.”
Wonderful people
“I would like to give a Rave out to Central Auto Repair. Those guys are the most wonderful people in the world. They are so friendly, they are so courteous. I’ve never had a problem with them. Thank you so much, Rick, Spencer, Don and Miss Cathy. I love you and thank you for all of your help and your support. Keep up the good work.”
Angel among us
“This beautiful story must be told. At least one classroom during the Berrien County school lockdown had an angel in it. God had prepared her all of her life to be where she was that day. She had left her cell phone at home. She prayed silently over your children. She quoted Psalm 23 over and over. She was ready to give her life for your children because she knows where she stands with God. She wouldn’t want recognition. She would want you to know that only Jesus made that situation better than it could have been that day.”
Heads up
“Is anyone paying attention to the number of people we have driving around Tifton and Tift County with suspended or revoked licenses? The paper is full of them every day. Something needs to be done.”
Generous gift
“I would like to thank Dr. Hellman for making it possible for us to see the movie, ‘Facing the Giants.’ The theater was full and it was a wonderful movie.”
Historic hang-out
“Bats have always hung out at the Lankford Manor, whether generations ago or more recently.”
They’ve got to go
“Are you saying that you would not send your children to school because you disagree with the local school system? That’s just bad parenting.”
Best all-around
“ Thank you, Venice Grill. Great food, great service, great prices. A special thanks to Christy for her great attitude and wonderful service. My co-workers and I eat out every day and this is the best all-around lunch we’ve had in a long time. Please, EVERYONE eat at Venice Grill and give them your service so that we do not lose another great resturant.”
You never know
“Know-it-all pundits claim to ‘know’ in advance how our election will come out. They also ‘know’ that voting is work Americans are not willing to do.”
