Robert L. ‘Bubba’ Rutledge
CROSLAND — Robert L. “Bubba” Rutledge, 65, of Crosland, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Crosland Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Crosland Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jackie Cabiness and the Rev. Charlie Belk will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 tonight at Baker Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Milton Mercer, Ken Sumner, Sonny Baker, Joey Roberts, Roger Clayton, Terry Roberts. Honorary casketbearers will be Bo Southers, Ander Tucker, Larry Tucker, Richard Tucker, Larry Lamb, John Himioben, Mike Coleman, Billy Harris, Al Davidson, Bob Pearce, Lee Walker, Randall Salter, Craig Baker and Steve Pearce.
Mr. Rutledge was born on May 16, 1941, in Stewart County. He was a 1959 graduate of Moultrie High School and a graduate of Norman College and Georgia Southern University. He served on the board of The GA Construction Ind. Licensing Board of Electrical Contractors. A long time member of Crosland Baptist Church where he served as deacon and as the youth leader for 20 years. He coached recreation baseball for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Roberts Rutledge of Crosland; his mother, Marguerite Cannington Hamner Rutledge of Moultrie; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Stacey Rutledge and Sandy of Crosland; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rusty Hamner and Phyllis of Waynesboro and Jim Hamner and Lynn of Moultrie; a brother-in-law, Don Roberts and his wife Linda of Crosland; a sister and brother-in-law, Ginger Rutledge Gregory and John E. “Sonny” of Statesboro; two grandchildren, Robert Taylor Rutledge, Rebekah Jane Rutledge; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rutledge was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Rutledge; his maternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles H. Cannington; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Rutledge; his stepgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude C. Hamner; and his stepfather, Russell M. Hamner.

Lois Dale Moreash
JACKSONVILLE, Fla .— Lois Dale Moreash, 78, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at Berrien County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. The Rev. Mack Carter will officiate. Burial will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
Mrs. Moreash was born on Oct. 3, 1927, in Atkinson County. She was the daughter of Millard Luke and Tressie Rowe, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, J.T. Smith, and a son, Anthony Smith. She was a homemaker and retired pro shop manager for Pine Lakes Golf Club in Jacksonville. She is survived by her husband, Peter Frank Moreash of Jacksonville, Fla.; five stepsons, Lee Steele, Paul Steele, Peter Moreash, Phillip Moreash and Perry Moreash, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Terry Gate of Salt Lake City, Utah and Pamela Harper of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Jeff Luke of Nashville; a sister, Josephine Ford of Nashville; eight stepgrandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

Audry Lee Walker Adams
NORMAN PARK — Audry Lee Walker Adams, 62, of Norman Park, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at the residence of her daughter. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Walker Family Cemetery with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating.
Born Nov. 23, 1943, in Tift County to the late Johnny B. Walker and Hattie Jackson Lewis, Mrs. Adams was also preceded in death by her husband, George R. Adams, who died in January 2003.
Mrs. Adams had lived most of her life in Norman Park. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Adams is survived by one son, Enoch Eugene Lyninger of Norman Park; two daughters, Rachel Lynn Hinson and Georgia Ann Cochran, both of Norman Park; three brothers, Leonard Walker and Danny Walker, both of Norman Park, and Larry Walker of Camilla; four sisters, Angela Wilson and Glenda Hancock, both of Norman Park, Bonnie Lewis of Ochlocknee and Connie Humbert of Moultrie; five grandchildren, Christopher Lyninger, Zack Lyninger, Lacey Hinson, Reed Hinson and Austin Hawkins, all of Norman Park; and one great-grandchild, Lynsey Newell of Norman Park.

D.C. Harrod
RAY CITY — D. C. Harrod, 89, of Ray City, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, in Berrien County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. David Stalvey will officiate. Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville.
Mr. Harrod was born on May 28, 1917 in Duval County, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ira Bell Thompson Harrod, who died Sept. 15, 1984. He was the son of Henry Franklin Harrod and Edna Young, both deceased. He was a retired Feed Mill Supervisor and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Norma Linares of Ray City; his sons, Henry Harrod of Albany, Jimmy Harrod of Ray City, Larry Harrod of Ray City and Pixie Harrod of Nashville; his sister, Edna Jean Southerland of Moultrie; a brother, Jack Harrod of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Denise M. Driver
TIFTON — Denise M. Driver, 81, of Tifton, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at Southern Care Assisted Living. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus with Dr. Frank McGill officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are staff members of Southern Care Assisted Living, Nia Austin, Melissa Barber, Kim Billings, Becky Brinkley, Victoria Coley, Valerie Daniel, Doris Etheridge, Jo Garrick, Patsy Gray, Elaine Henry, Florene Jackson, Angela Nelson, Sharon Nichols, Debbie Porter, Carrie Rogers, Rhonda Self, Lesie Stubbins, Alicia Waldon, Theda Williams, Melba Willoughby and Vanessa Wingfield.
Mrs. Driver was born on March 26, 1925 to the late Isaac N. Shiver and Ruby Anna Beamon Shiver of Pelham. She was retired from Litho-Krome as an inspector and a homemaker, loving wife and caring mother. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel E. Driver.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah Layfield of Tifton and Darlene Brown and her husband Bruce of Columbus; three grandchildren, Jonathan and Dalton Layfield and Heather Craft; one great grandchildren, Haylee Craft; and “her boy” Lance Lever.

Dwight Likes
TIFTON — Dwight Likes, 59, of Tifton, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at his residence. A private memorial service was held Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Tift Area.
Born Jan. 18, 1947, in Shelbyville, Ken, to the late William Thomas Likes and Georgella Swigert Likes, Mr. Likes was also preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and one son-in-law.
Mr. Likes is survived by his wife, Brenda K. Likes of Tifton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mikki and Lonnie Carter of Tifton and Brandi Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Justin Likes of Tifton; one brother, William Paul Likes of Boston, Ky.; one sister, Frances Jeffires of Boston, Ky.; and one grandson, DaKota Likes of Tifton.
