Panella Bryant Mack

Funeral services for Panella Bryant Mack, 85, of 3233 U.S. 319 South, Thomasville, will be Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 677 U.S. 319 South, Thomasville. The Rev. Dr. Leon Jones, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Browning Cemetery. Honorary pallbears will be deacons of Piney Grove M.B. Church, Ochlocknee Missionary Baptist Church and Mercy Seat Christian Church. Active pallbearers will be deacons of Piney Grove M.B. Church, Ochlocknee Missionary Baptist Church and Mercy Seat Christian Church. Mrs. Mack died Oct. 8, 2005, at her residence. Born Jan. 20, 1920, in Grady County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Alice Fletcher Bryant. She was a lifelong resident of Thomasville and was a domestic worker at Sinkola Plantation. She was a member of All Citizens Pallbearers Charitable Society #1 – International Benevolent Society. She was a member of Piney Grove M.B. Church and attended Ochlocknee School in Grady County, Ga. She is survived by two daughters, Renella Mack (Richard) Ross and Shirley Mack Wilkins, both of Thomasville, Ga.; a son, Warren Davis Sr., of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Sonja Ross Davis, of Thomasville; a grandson, Jeffrey Ross Sr., of Thomasville; two granddaughters, Shwanna Kaye Littlejohn, and Briggs Allan Davis, both of Cheltenham, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Cora Wyche Davis, of Cheltenham, Md.; two grandsons and two granddaughters, John Wilkins, Vanessa Dawson, Kimberly Wilkins and Gregory Wilkins, all of Thomasville; a grandson, Warren Davis Jr., of Tallahassee, Fla.; a granddaughter, Monique Davis, of Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Simon Hunter, of Miami, Fla.; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One son, William Davis Jr., nine brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Viewing will be at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, from noon to 9 p.m. and at the church Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, from 9:30 a.m. until services. Deborah J. Goar

Funeral services for Deborah J. Goar, 45, of Cairo, Ga., will be Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Greater New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, Ga. The Rev. Willie G. Smiley and the Rev. Henry Parris will officiate. Active pallbearers will be cousins and friends of the family. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery. Goar died Oct. 5, 2005, at Grady General Hospital in Cairo. A Cairo resident most of her life, Mrs. Goar was born in Grady County, Ga., Oct. 15, 1959. She was the daughter of Mae Ethel Hunter and the late Joseph Davis. She was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ and attended the Grady County public schools. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Goar, of Cairo, Ga.; daughters, Takesha and Michelle Goar, of Cairo; a son, Maurice Goar, of Cairo; a mother and stepfather, Mae Ethel (Jerome) Hunter, both of Cairo; a sister, Lashay (Tony) Sailor, of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Sabrina Hunter, of Cairo; a sister, Shirley (Patrick) Summerset, of Miami, Fla.; sisters, Valerie Davis and Michelle Davis, of Miami, Fla.; a sister, Karon Davis, of Ft. Valley, Ga.; a sister, Theresa George, of Warner Robins, Ga.; a brother, Michael Hunter, of Bell Glades, Fla.; brothers, Fredrick and Stacy Hunter, both of Cairo; a brother, Joseph L. Davis, of New York, N.Y., a grandmother, Agnes Parris, of Cairo; a mother-in-law, Mary F.
