The class of 1966 was the largest to graduate from Douglass High School.

The Douglass High School class of 1966 reunion committee will host its 50th class reunion on Labor Day weekend 2016 beginning Sept. 1 with a get-together and ending Sept. 4 with a church service.

This was the largest class that graduated from DHS.

They began meeting in October of 2014 to plan for the event and elected Joseph Hayes as president, Elijah Spaulding, vice president, Janice (Hadley) Strickland, secretary, Jerome Smith, assistant secretary and Shirley Forte, treasurer. Other members include David Sampson, Reginald Spaulding, Shirley Jordan, Terri Hawkins, Loma Mathis Lindsey and Pearl Johnson.

The committee has opened the event to other Douglass alumni.
