John Anthony Kolar

John Anthony Kolar, 58, of Senoia, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016, while enjoying his favorite pastime, fishing at Lake Oconee in middle Georgia. He was born on June 4, 1957, to the late Conrad “Coke” and Sylvia Kolar, and raised in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. He graduated from West Mifflin High School in 1975, and shortly after joined the U.S. Army. He was then employed for 30 years by GSA as a Regional Account Manager. John was a charter member of the Lake Oconee Bass Masters Club, a group of his closest friends, which included his lifelong friend Leslie Carlton, who was with him at his time of death. He was an active member of White Oak Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Senoia, where he enjoyed volunteering his time helping with the annual barbecue, and seasonal church work days. John was a man of the utmost integrity and strong faith in God. He always took up for the underdog and stood up for what was right at all times. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Rick Kolar. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nancy Dupre Kolar; daughter, Blair Jackson, and husband, Tim, of Fayetteville, daughter, Courtney Vick and fiancé Eric Pruitt, of Senoia; three beautiful grandchildren, Aidan Anthony Jackson, Gunnar Cole Pruitt and Kallan Isabelle Jackson; sister, Kathy Mihalco and husband, Bill, of Harrison City, Pennsylvania; brother, Larry Kolar, and wife, Sandy of Cape Coral, Florida, brother, Mark Kolar, and wife, Rose of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, brother, Robert Kolar of West Mifflin; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2 p.m. at White Oak ARP Church, 2796 Gordon Road, Senoia, with burial following in the church cemetery. — McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory
