Please explain

“Would somebody please explain why Mr. Stafford can’t slant his roof a little or why the city requires roof the be slanted as much?”

Include numbers

“It would be helpful if yard sale ads contained phone numbers. Some of the addresses are hard to find. It would be a great idea.”

No junkyard

“There is no junkyard in Pavo. It’s a salvage, recycled equipment, parts and tractor business. I have spent hundreds of dollars there and saved thousands. Thank you for a great job in helping farmers.”

Great article

“It was great to see the Christian cheerleaders article. I was very impressed, and it was a wonderful article. More high schools should take up that theme and not have the girls dress so risque. They set bad examples, and some of the moves are awful. I’m embarrassed by some of them.”

Awesome

“To the cast and crew of Cairo High School’s ‘Little Shop of Horrors,’ you were awesome. Give yourself a pat on the back.”

Fix tracks

“With all the road work on 319, can’t the city fix the railroad tracks on West Jackson Street by the bait and tackle shop?”

Move over

“I’m all for people getting exercise in the morning and afternoon, but here lately on Clay and Washington streets there are four to five people abreast blocking a complete lane of traffic. They will not move out of the way when cars are coming. Sooner or later, purely by accident, someone is going to be hurt really bad by runners who are in the road.”

Browntown rocks

“We need to have more events like the one on Saturday for cancer. Browntown rocks.”

Great asset

“What a great asset Karen is to the district attorney’s office as the victims’ advocate. Karen has such a big heart and is so kind to everyone she meets. Karen has helped so many people put their lives back together. Thank you, Karen.”

Thanks

“Thank you to all the people who sat out in their yards along the Rose City Walk route Saturday to cheer on the walkers. You did not go unnoticed. Your wave and/or words of encouragement meant a lot and helped keep us going. Keep up the tradition year after year.”

Fix roads

“I want to know why Thomasville has such bad roads. What are taxpayers paying for? Roses and gardens! Whoever is in charge of road maintenance needs to wake up! I am tired of hitting pot holes and dodging roots that are growing up in the roads.”
