CAIRO — The Grady County Sheriff’s Office executed a major drug bust on Friday morning at a residence located at 1306 7th Avenue NW in Cairo. Acting on a search warrant, deputies uncovered a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics inside the home.

During the operation, authorities seized approximately 433 grams of cocaine, 120 grams of ecstasy, three pounds of marijuana, and 80 grams of a drug-laced edible known as “cornbread.”

Deputies arrested 68-year-old Annie Horton at the scene. Her son, 44-year-old Bryant Lakeith Horton, fled the residence and remains at large. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bryant Horton was out on bond related to a prior drug-related arrest at the same location following a search warrant executed in July 2023. Deputies had collected evidence that Bryant was selling drugs out of the same location once again, leading to the following warrant.

Grady County Sheriff Martin Earl Prince expressed his gratitude to the Georgia State Patrol and the Cairo Police Department for their assistance in the operation. “We remain committed to eradicating drugs in Grady County,” said Prince. “As we like to say—fool around and find out.”

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Bryant Lakeith Horton is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency.

“He is still at large and we do have a cash reward for information leading to his arrest,” said Cheif Deputy Kent Harvey. “You can remain anonymous.”
