Noelin Chaney selected State Winner of the DAR American History Video Contest

- THOMAS COUNTY'S BEST AND BRIGHTEST: Noelin Chaney was selected the State Winner of the DAR American History Video Contest. He was presented with the state winner certificate, American History silver medal and monetary award at the Education Luncheon on March 22 at the 127th Georgia State Society DAR State Conference in Augusta. THOMASVILLE- Noelin Chaney was selected the State Winner of the DAR American History Video Contest. Chaney was presented with the state winner certificate, American History silver medal and monetary award of $250 by State Regent Helen Powell, State Second Vice Regent and DAR School State Chair Ann Ameye and American History State Chair Debbie Bush at the Education Luncheon on March 22 at the 127th Georgia State Society DAR State Conference in Augusta. Chaney’s parents also attended the luncheon.
Chaney, a 10th grade student at Thomas County Central High School was nominated for the award by the Thomasville Chapter, NSDAR. Attending the Education Luncheon were Thomasville Chapter Regent Shelba Sellers and Chapter Historian and American History Chapter Chair Charlotte Brown. Chaney also won the Southeastern Division Award for the American History Video Contest and will compete in the National Competition.
