Dan Bellamy wins 2nd Place Large Artistic Sculpture at International Twist & Shout competition

ATLANTA- Dan Bellamy, a prominent figure in the world of balloon entertainment, has been recognized for his outstanding talents at the annual international Twist & Shout Balloon Convention. The convention, renowned for showcasing top-notch balloon twisting and entertainment talent, awarded Dan Bellamy with 2nd Place in the Large Artistic Sculpture competition.

Bellamy crafted the “Twistine Chapel,” a miniature version of the Sistine Chapel that people could walk around in. The balloon chapel featured a recreation of Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam” painting made from balloons on the ceiling. Overall, the project took nearly 50 hours. 

“We are thrilled to present Dan with this well-deserved award,” said Patty Sorell, Organizer of Twist & Shout. “His creativity in the large artistic sculpture competition is a fantastic showcase of his abilities in a high pressure international competition.”

Competitors from Australia, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Scotland, United Kingdom and the United States battled it out to win prestige in the industry.

Bellamy expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “I am blown away by the generous and creative community of balloon artists that come together at Twist and Shout. To compete among the best and have a large sculpture that meant so much to me place among the top three is an incredible honor.”
