THOMASVILLE- The Rotary Club of Thomasville hosted its annual Rotary Has Heart for Seniors Valentine’s Party on February 14, 2025, at the Scott Senior Center. Twenty-five Rotarians delighted roughly 60 Scott Center participants with a grilled hot dogs and hamburger lunch served alongside homemade dishes and desserts. Rotarian and Police Chief Wade Glover manned the grill, with assistance from fellow club members and athletes from Thomas University who helped serve lunch.

Guests at the party were treated to a unique experience as Picasso, an outreach pony from Hands and Hearts for Horses, mingled in the dining room, adorned with ribbons and hearts for Valentine’s Day. Picasso loved being the center of attention decked out for the Valentine’s Party. Guests were also treated to gifts individually selected and purchased for them by members of Rotary and others in the community.

Marta Jones Turner, President of the Rotary Club of Thomasville, extended her appreciation to all who participated.

“We could not have hosted this wonderful event without the support of our club members, including visiting Rotary District 6900 Governor Gordon Owens, athletes from Thomas University, Hands and Hearts for Horses staff and volunteers, Scott Senior Center staff, and community volunteers,” said Jones Turner.
