THOMASVILLE- Get ready to experience the charm of Downtown Thomasville during First Friday events, where guests can sip, shop, and dine while enjoying an exciting lineup of live entertainment! Hosted by the City of Thomasville Main Street Office, this year’s First Friday schedule offers a fantastic mix of music, shopping, and dining in the heart of downtown.
The 2025 First Friday concert schedule includes:
- March 7 – The Billy Rigsby Band
- April 4 – On-street entertainment only. Enjoy live music while you sip, shop, and dine!
- May 2 – Gypsy Cotton
- June 6 – Hunter Clark Band
- August 1 – Kason Sellers Band
- September 5 – Trae Pierce and the T-Stones
- October 3 – Dirty Bird and The Flu
- November 7 – Lloyd Carter Band
- December 5 – On-street entertainment only. Enjoy live music while you sip, shop, and dine!
“We are thrilled about this year’s diverse concert lineup, featuring many local and regional bands,” said Cassidee Brooks, City of Thomasville Special Events Coordinator. “The Tallahassee-based Billy Rigsby Band will kick-off our concert series with their soulful blues sound. They have a great following and have shared the stage with legends like James Brown and Earth, Wind & Fire.”
First Friday festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. in Downtown Thomasville, with many shops and restaurants offering extended hours for visitors to explore and enjoy. The evening includes food trucks, live music, and a free concert at The Ritz Amphitheater. Adults (21+) can also take advantage of Thomasville’s open-container, special event district during the event.
Based on community feedback, one of the biggest updates this year is a new concert start time of 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
“This adjustment gives attendees more time to shop and dine before the free concert begins,” noted Brandy Avery, City of Thomasville Main Street Director.
Additionally, the April and December First Fridays will feature on-street entertainment instead of a headlining concert at The Ritz Amphitheater.
“We’re placing multiple musicians along Jackson and Broad Streets during our April and December First Friday events to highlight our local businesses and enhance the shopping and dining experience,” explained Avery.
First Friday is the perfect way to kick off the weekend while supporting local businesses. Whether discovering new boutiques, enjoying handcrafted cocktails, or simply soaking in the lively downtown atmosphere, there’s something for everyone!
