THOMASVILLE- TCMS students won many awards in The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Junior American Citizens annual competition. There were fifty-one winners from Thomas County Middle School for the Thomasville chapter. Twenty-three of those winners took first place and advanced to the state competition in January.
This year’s topic is “Sailing with the Stars and Stripes to Celebrate the 250th Birthday of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.” Students were able to compete in the following categories: poster, stamp design, photo essay, banner, digital art, poem, short story, graphic novel, or community service.
