Brooks and Bryant help TVille down Raiders

KNOCK ‘EM DOWN: Harmony Bryant and Jayla Brooks combined for 45 of the Lady Bulldogs 53 points.

THOMASVILLE – Thomasville took down the Raiders of Bacon County on Wednesday night 53-34 in a dominating region victory that pushed the Lady Bulldogs to .500 in the region. Thomasville’s 5-5 record moves them to fourth place in the region just behind 6-5 Fitzgerald in third place.

Thomasville was dominant on both sides of the ball on Wednesday night. They held the Lady Raiders to 10 or less points in each of the four quarters. They held Bacon to just seven points in the second quarter and outscored the Lady Raiders 22-8 in the third quarter.

Meanwhile, on the offensive end, Jayla Brooks and Harmony Bryant were on fire. They combined for 45 of the Lady Bulldogs 53 points in the game. Brooks followed up her 33 point night against Fitzgerald with a 20 point show against Bacon. She opened the game with three triples and scored 11 in the third quarter.

Bryant had a decent first half, scoring four points. However, she went off in the secodn half, dropping 21 on Bacon County. She scored 11 in the third and 10 of the Lady Bulldogs 13 points in the fourth quarter.

This is Thomasville’s third straight win since February 1 agaisnt Berrien. The Lady Bulldogs will finish their season on Saturday against Jeff Davis.
