THOMASVILLE- Thomasville City Schools’ STEM and Computer Science educators recently engaged in an advanced training program at Georgia Tech, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience in cutting-edge technology and curriculum development.
As part of this professional development opportunity, teachers collaborated with Georgia Tech leadership, explored innovative teaching strategies, and toured the university’s state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility. This initiative is designed to expand scholarship opportunities, provide Thomasville City students with direct instruction from Georgia Tech faculty, and promote STEM literacy across the district.
“This training provided our teachers with tools and strategies that will directly impact our students, preparing them for the evolving demands of STEM careers,” said Ashley Palmer, Coordinator of STEM, CTAE, and Career Development. “We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Georgia Tech and bring these valuable experiences back to our classrooms.”
