THOMASVILLE- Caroniesha Williams completed her family on Thursday, January 2, 2025, when she welcomed her son Za’Kisen at Archbold Memorial Hospital as the first baby of the New Year.

Za’Kisen was born weighing 7 lbs., 2 oz., joining his four siblings somewhat later than expected.

According to Williams, Za’Kisen was born later than his original due date, so her other children are excited to welcome their new baby brother home.

The siblings weren’t the only ones who were excited. The Maternity Center at Archbold wanted to celebrate baby Za’Kisen as the firstborn of 2025 by gifting him and his mom some goodies from local organizations and stores around town.

“I reached out to everyone and told them what I was trying to do and they donated whatever they were willing to give for the basket,” said Kaitlyn Calhoun.

Mary Madison, His Daughter Boutique, Ellianos, Grassroots, the Thomasville Visitor’s Center, and the Bookshelf donated special items to shower the family in the new year.

Za’Kisen also received an Archbold onesie to don on his first day in the hospital.

Williams appreciated the kindness and was ready to take Za’Kisen home to be with his siblings, who were already paying him visits at the hospital.

After giving birth to her fifth child, Williams said she was done having kids.

“Hopefully this will be the last one,” she said jokingly.

With five kids to care for now, Williams is looking forward to being discharged and becoming a family unit of six.
