TVille locals light up CFB week six

THOMASVILLE – Former Thomas County Central and Thomasville players played very well in the chaos that was week six of the college football season.
Starting with the Yellow Jackets, Clayton Hutto and Caleb Anderson had the best games of their young collegiate careers as UPIKE got its first win of the season in a 47-21 victory over Reinhardt. Anderson secured five solo tackles in the game and recorded a pass breakup while Hutto had five solo tackles, six total tackles, and snagged his first interception.
Malachi Thomas touched toe to turf as a part of Pitt’s 34-24 win over North Carolina as the Panthers are off to their first 5-0 start since 1991. Adam Hopkins also saw the field in Charlotte’s 55-24 win over East Carolina.
Ricky Fulton secured a nine-yard reception in Peru State’s 43-35 loss to Graceland.
Thomasville was very well represented in Union’s 20-7 loss against Bluefield. Kam Bradshaw and Hakeem Myrick both got the start against Bluefield. Bradshaw secured a single solo tackle as part of his five total tackles in the game. Jay Randall also slotted into the game on special teams with a 16-yard kickoff return.
Ty Anderson had six total tackles, including three solo tackles, in ETSU’s 17-10 loss to Chattanooga and Joshua Jones secured two receptions for five yards in Thomas University’s 28-14 loss to Ave Maria.
