THOMASVILLE- In a touching tribute to a remarkable career, Hurst Boiler bid a heartfelt farewell to Gary Hunter, an integral part of the family for an incredible 40 years. Gary’s journey commenced in the warehouse, back when the company’s visionary founder, Gene Hurst, was at the helm, and has since seen him rise from Warehouse Manager to Logistics Manager with unparalleled dedication.

From those early days, Gary’s dedication and passion for his work over the past four decades has left an indelible mark on the company’s legacy. His journey mirrors the growth and success of Hurst Boiler, and his absence will undoubtedly be felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

On Thursday, December 21st, the company gathered to honor Gary’s service with a special gift—a meticulously crafted welded sculpture — a token symbol of appreciation from the hands of his Hurst Boiler family.

Ricky Bracewell, Plant Manager, shared, “Gary has been a valuable asset since day one, transitioning seamlessly from warehouse duties to shipping inspections and, eventually, the role of Logistics Manager. His commitment extends beyond his retirement, assuring us that he is just a phone call away for support.”

Chad Fletcher, Purchasing and Aftermarket Manager and a 3rd Generation Hurst, stated, “Gary Hunter embodied the essence of a company man—always present, always smiling, and consistently hardworking. His 40 years of service have left an enduring impact, and his absence will be deeply felt. We wish him the very best in his well-deserved retirement.”
