TCMS students shine in annual DAR competition

THOMASVILLE- TCMS students won many awards in The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Junior American Citizens annual competition. There were seventy-eight winners from Thomas County Middle School for the Thomasville chapter. Twenty-eight of those winners took first place and will advance to the state competition in January.

This year’s topic is “Sparkling in the Stars with the 50th Anniversary of the NASA Space Shuttle Program.” Students were able to compete in the following categories: poster, stamp design, photo essay, banner, digital art, poem, short story, graphic novel, or community service.
