SAVANNAH- The Georgia Senior Living Association has voted Woodleaf Chef, Robert Atchison, first runner up in their annual statewide senior living culinary competition. Chef Robert wowed the judges with his cajón chicken paillard—a classic French dish made by pounding the chicken breasts to tenderize, then browning and braising in a cajón seasoned cream sauce. With the audience of senior living professionals looking on, chefs from around the state cooked their special versions of smothered chicken for the judges to sample and score. Shawn McGregor Regional Executive Chef at Healthcare Services Group, and MC for the event stated, “Congratulations to all of the winning chefs, every plate was exceptional.”

In addition to healthcare management experience, Chef Robert brings to Woodleaf his diverse expertise as executive chef at two local quail shooting plantations and owner of a seafood restaurant and wine bar in Apalachicola, Florida.
