THOMASVILLE- Three Thomas County home childcare providers received Quality Ratings from the state of Georgia. Quality Rated is a systemic approach to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in early and school‐age care and education programs.

All three participated in rigorous trainings and were dedicated to the path of continuous quality improvement. Numerous hours of continuing education, classroom improvement, lesson plans and a lengthy portfolio were all part of the process. Each provider had a three hour assessment where they were observed by a Quality Rated consultant. Ratings of 1, 2 or 3 stars are given.

The following Family Child Care Learning Homes in Thomas County received their ratings:

Laura Anglea,- Anglea Family Childcare 3 stars, Tonya and Royce Simons -All Smiles Childcare 3 stars and Cristina Allen 1 star. All 3 are licensed home childcare providers, Family Child Care Learning Homes, through the Department of Early Care and Learning.

Families can have peace of mind knowing that any participating child care program is committed to providing children an environment and experience that is best for their development.
