HANGING OUT WITH ALL MY FRIENDS: The Hangout will feature live music from the porch of the Smith Log House.

THOMASVILLE- The Thomasville History Center is inviting the community for another evening of fun and fellowship in their backyard on Friday, October 27 from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Enjoy live music from the porch of the Smith Log House at the Thomasville History Center by Mike Adams, play yard games, have a picnic with friends, and explore THC’s exhibits and historic buildings.

Guests are invited to B.Y.O. picnics, drinks, and pups. The History Center will provide a limited number of chairs and tables, so picnic blankets are encouraged. If there’s a little chill in the air, they’ll also light the fire pit.

This program is presented free of charge and is open to all (humans and four-legged friends). The History Center encourages participants to consider a membership to the History Center which supports future programs like this one! This event is appropriate for all ages. Reservations are not required. Parking is available in our Webster Street lot.

The Thomasville History Center formed in 1952 and the museum within the Flowers-Roberts House opened in 1972. Since then, the Thomasville History Center’s collections have grown to include more than 500,000 artifacts and archival materials and eight historic structures. The History Center, in partnership with the state of Georgia, also operates the historic Lapham-Patterson House. Their board, staff, and growing membership invites the public to join them in their mission to enrich the community through the exploration and discovery of its history, people, and stories.
