THOMASVILLE- Members of the John B. Gordon chapter 383 held their first meeting for the 2023-2024 term. President Mary Margaret Tyson Quiggle presided over the meeting. The objectives of the UDC are: Historical, Educational, Memorial, Benevolent, and Patriotic. These objectives guide the chapter throughout the year. This is not a political organization. The UDC chapter is very supportive of Veterans of all wars and enlisted men and women of the Armed Forces. The chapter also provides support for different areas in the community, especially presenting USA flags, Georgia flags and patriotic books to schools.
