THE DISH ON DINING OUT: Trisha Slater highlighted Mom and Dad’s Italian Restaurant for the show, speaking with owner Danilo Pistelli.

THOMASVILLE- Trisha Slater of The American Dream TV recently filmed a segment on Thomasville during their First Friday event.

The show centers around five real estate agents, who showcase the unique lifestyle and culture of the town they are highlighting.

Slater is a broker with Southern Luxury Group Realty and filmed her first episode in Lake Blackshear, where she spoke with Senator Carden Summers and dined at Buoy’s on Blackshear and enjoyed live music at Booger Bottom, while hoping for their exclusive patty recipe.

Slater explained she is the only real estate agent on the television show who focuses on small, rural towns. Other agents take viewers on tours of massive cities such as San Francisco and Chicago, just to name a few.

Upon completing her premiere episode, Slater already knew she wanted to highlight the Rose City for the second showing.

Slater set up an interview with Mom and Dad’s Italian Restaurant owners Danilo and Anna Pistelli to kick things off.

After speaking with them, Slater interviewed Main Street Manager Brandy Avery.

Avery said Slater asked her what Thomasville does differently from other cities their size and if she had any advice for other communities on how to connect people and attract them to their downtown and Main Street.

After speaking with Avery, Slater was shown to Ally B Boutique, Farmer’s Daughter Vineyards and finally the concert at the Ritz Amphitheater.

There, she was able to film Trae Pierce and the T- Stones for work, before enjoying the remainder of the evening with her family.

Avery hopes Slater’s ability to capture all of the different activities available downtown and unique eateries Thomasville has to offer will inspire individuals who see the show to come and visit. She also hopes that because The American Dream TV is a show hosted by real estate agents, it will encourage individuals and families to consider moving to Thomasville.

Avery, along with the establishments who were filmed for the segment look forward to the episode, which will air in September on CNBC, The CW, Fox, CBS and ABC.
