UDC Executive Board meets

THOMASVILLE- Mary Margaret Tyson Quiggle, president of John B. Gordon chapter 383 called an Executive Board meeting to make plans for the 2023-2024 year. Others attending were Dot Maxwell, Second Vice President; Anita Ward, Registrar; Sheila Tucker, Historian; Dianne Ponder, Recorder of Military Services Award; and Doris Davies, Chaplain. This year will mark the 150th anniversary for the chapter observing Memorial Day and honoring veterans. Special guests will be attending and plans are being made for this occasion. This year the chapter is going to have a “baby shower” for the Halycon House. The shower will be held during the October meeting, since this month is named Domestic Violence month. The objectives of the UDC are: Historical, Educational, Memorial, Benevolent and Patriotic.
