- LEARN TO SQUAREDANCE: The Roddenberry Memorial Library is offering square dancing on Friday nights at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
The women of the Greater New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church invite the community to their annual Women’s Day program to be held on Sunday, August 7th at 11:15 a.m. The guest speaker for the event will be Evangelist Priscilla McGriff.
The Zebulon Theater is sponsoring a 50s and 60s Sock Hop on August 19th at the Grady Cultural Center. There will be a live DJ at 6:30 p.m. followed by a live band at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $45 per individual which includes burgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks. The next Grady off the Club networking event will be held this Friday, July 21st from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Whigham Community Club in Whigham. The event is hosted by Bell/Payne Attorneys, City of Whigham, Farmers Peanut Company, Whigham Café and the Whigham Community Club.

Grady County Family Connection and the Grady County Schools are hosting and already planning the Back-2- School Blitz for Grady County students on July 29th, 9-11 a.m. It will be held at the Cairo High School Gymnasium.

Thomas University will be hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater show to benefit scholarships for students in Grady County on October 5th at the Collins Place Venue. The United National Bank Travel Club is planning a trip to see the Atlanta Braves play the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 2nd and sports fans from the community are invited to attend. The Grady County Schools Transportation Department is currently seeking bus drivers. These are part time jobs with responsibilities in the mornings and afternoons. All employees will be provided the necessary training to obtain a CDL and insurance benefits.
