TAKE A DETOUR: The map provided by City contractors details what roads will be closed and where detours will be provided.

THOMASVILLE- As part of the 2021 CDBG project, City of Thomasville construction contractors will be finishing up water main improvements on Forrest Street between N. Martin L. King Jr Drive and Bay Street and on N. Martin L. King Jr Drive between Alexander Street and Felix Street. Work will begin on June 27, 2023 starting at 8 a.m. and lasting for two (2) days.

In order to complete the water main improvements, there will be a temporary road closure on N. Martin L. King Jr Drive between Alexander Street and Felix Street and a temporary road closure on Forrest Street between N. Martin L. King Jr. Drive and Bay Street. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays. The road will be open to local traffic.
