TIME TO CELEBRATE: Koketta Gantt celebrated the one- year anniversary of New Oak Academy with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday.

THOMASVILLE- On Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at noon the Imagine Thomasville Team performed a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of New Oak Academy.

New Oak Academy is a part-time and full-time learning center for ages new born to 5+ years old. Owner Koketta Gantt has a diverse education background, and is passionate about having a learning center, rather than a daycare. She empowers her teachers to lead through education and curriculum, and to not view themselves as “just” a babysitter. The Academy has a licensed capacity of 98, but are already running out of spots for some age groups.

Gantt understands the workforce issues that plague the county and city, as well as around the State, which is why she has made sure to hire enough teachers so she is able to be at full capacity in her facility. She hopes to help families be able to get back to work, if and when they want to go back.

New Oak Academy is open 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. every weekday for childcare. They are located at 140 Old Boston Road, Thomasville, Ga., and can be reached at 229-236-2538.
