Rose City Run’s Feinberg Award returned

The Joe Feinberg Award is presented annually to the elementary school in Thomas County with the highest percentage of student participation in the Rose City one-mile run. The school has its name engraved on the trophy it keeps for one yea

r. The school also receives a silver bowl it keeps permanently. Jerger Elementary School was the winner in 2022.

The deadline for early registration for the 42nd annual Rose City one-mile run is April 8. There is no race day registration on the day of the event. For information, go to www.ymca-thomasville.org or call 229-226-9878. Those interested may register at the Thomasville YMCA on Dawson Street

The 44th annual Rose City 10K run starts at 8 a.m. on April 22, 2023. The one-mile run starts at 9:30 a.m.
