THOMASVILLE- The Thomasville- Thomas County Humane Society will be presenting their annual Clays for Strays for the 11th year on Saturday, March 25, at the Ranges at Oakfield.

Clays for Strays will now feature a new, modified sporting clays course with 50 target presentations and the five stand course with additional shooting games available, such as the Long Bird Trial.

Lunch will be provided to all participants and shooting packs, along with mulligans, will be available for purchase.

Participants can register as an individual shooter or register as a team of four shooters.

Mottola said last year Clays for Strays saw 5-10 teams sign up in the week leading up to the event, and they are hoping for the same turnout this year, if not more.

Motolla also encourages those who are not interested in shooting, but want to support the Humane Society to still come out and join them for a fun-filled day.

Those who are competing, will have the chance to win a variety of prizes with the grand prize of a trophy cup.

All of the funds raised throughout the day will go directly toward the Humane Society for a variety of projects.

The Humane Society is currently in the process of transferring 50 puppies they have received, and this money will help fund the travels and life-saving mission the Humane Society is on.

Sign- in begins at 9:30 a.m. with shooting set to begin at 10 a.m. The day will close out with awards and prizes at 4 p.m.
