Promoter Len Robinson said the event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium, and it will be the first show in over 3 years.

“This is the first show that we have had in over 3 years,” he said. “And usually we would have 3 or 4 shows a year, but due to the COVID and the restrictions on the auditorium, this is the first show in 3 years.”

Robinson said that for the big night they had booked High Fidelity, an award winning bluegrass band that formed in early 2014.

“They play traditional bluegrass and bluegrass gospel,” he said. “They are an excellent, excellent group.”

Robinson said tickets were available in Downtown Thomasville at the Visitor Center or by calling in to reserve their tickets, saying that the $10 price was worth a whole night of entertainment.

He continued on to say that after 3 years of hiatus, he was anxious about the turnout, and said that previous shows could expect crowds from 300 to 400, sometimes even 900 attendees, but he wasn’t sure how much the lapse in shows in recent years would hurt the event’s turnout.

“This show is gonna tell me whether the time for this has come and pass by virtue of the fact of how big the turnout that we have,” he said.

With over 100 advanced tickets currently sold, Robinson said that a large percentage of the turnout comes from out of town, the event bringing in plenty of people from surrounding communities.

“I’d say that 60% to 70% of our audience each time comes from out of town,” he said. “Maybe 40% from Thomasville, but the rest of them from Adel, Montezuma, you know, Moultrie and all around, but it’s really fun.”

Grateful for the assistance from the City of Thomasville in organizing this event, Robinson said that the night would be a great bit of fun for everyone.

“It’s just another night of bluegrass in Thomasville, Georgia,” he said.
