- Adam Hopkins signed to the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday, while surrounded by his coaches, family and friends. He previously made a verbal commit to Auburn, before surprising everyone at his signing ceremony.
Thomas County Central wide receiver Adam Hopkins decided to take his talents to Colorado, where he will become a Buffalo this upcoming season.
Months ago, Hopkins had committed to the Auburn Tigers, and it looked like Hopkins was going to be a Tiger.
Sometimes what seems to be the right decision is not the best decision to make, and Hopkins is at peace with his final decision.
Hopkins will be playing for former Jackson State head football coach Deion Sanders. Most people know Deion Sanders by Coach Prime.
Coach Prime is a well-known person. As a former NFL player, Coach Prime is in the Hall of Fame and is recognized as the greatest quarterback to ever play in the NFL.
Hopkins is going into a situation where he can become not only a better football player, but a better man and student-athlete.
Coach Prime is a coach that prides himself on discipline and excellence from his players.
Talking to Hopkins, he was very excited about the decision, and he’s ready to get to work for the Buffaloes.
“God works in mysterious ways, and I felt Colorado was the right move for me,” he said. “Going to Colorado is gonna be an adjustment for me, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
