A memorial service was held for GA Division UDC Daughters who passed away this year. It is a sad time for the Division; but, it is an honor to show respect for them being a UDC member. When a UDC member is deceased, the chapter which the member belongs to, has their name placed in the “Memory Book “ at Ga Division Headquarters in Atlanta. This year 36 UDC names were called out, as a white carnation was placed in a vase in their memory during the Memorial Service. Mary Margaret Tyson Quiggle acted as Fourth District Director Pro-Tem and called out the names for the Fourth District. John B. Gordon chapter 383 is in the Fourth District. Penny Gaskins placed each flower in the vase as names were called.General Robert E. Lee’s favorite hymn was sung, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” as well as other hymns.
