Calling all crafters! The Thomasville History Center is taking inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s for their next hands-on workshop. Join them as they tie and twist their way to a one-of-a-kind macramé plant hanger. They will be working with white cotton cord and wooden beads for that extra dash of boho flair. This workshop may occur outdoors so participants are encouraged to dress accordingly. Participants are also asked to bring their own plant pot (6-8” diameter) for the sizing of your hanger. All other materials will be provided. 

The Thomasville History Center said the craft scale difficulty is a  Level: 2, with the project being open to crafters ages 12 and up. This event is open to the public, as well as members of the Thomasville History Center.  The fees are $15  for current members and $20 for non-members. This workshop will be taught by Leslie Johnson.

The Thomasville History Center was formed in 1952 and opened a museum within the Flowers-Roberts House in 1972.  Since 1972, the Thomasville History Center’s collections have grown to include more than 500,000 artifacts and archival materials and eight historic structures.  The History Center, in partnership with the state of Georgia, also operates the historic Lapham-Patterson House.
