As of Wednesday, more than 23,600 Thomas County residents, 53% of the population, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the state Department of Public Health. More than 60,920 doses of vaccine have been administered to Thomas County residents, according to the state Department of Public Health. In all, 44% of Thomas County residents have received full vaccination and an additional dose. 

Grady County has had more than 29,080 vaccines administered, with more than 11,590 people, 47% of the population, being fully vaccinated. According to the state DPH, 39% of Grady County residents are fully vaccinated and have received an additional dose. 

The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 9,105 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 181 deaths. There also have been 644 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak. 

Thomas County has recorded 119 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH. 

The state DPH has recorded 3,860 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 83 deaths and 274 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county added 67 new cases in the last two weeks. 

Statewide, there have been more than 2.08 million confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 32,203 deaths and more than 117,900 hospitalizations.

More than 19.07 million tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the state, with a rate of 12.3% for positive results. 

Statewide, there have been 34,466 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks. 

The state has issued more than 15.44 million vaccinations, and 57% of all Georgia residents, more than 5.92 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
