“Thomasville and Thomas County are thrilled to welcome Mimecri, USA, LLC to our community and to the U.S. We know they will thrive and continue to grow as their U.S. presence grows,” said PDA Chairman and Thomasville Mayor Jay Flowers.

“Mimecri is an important link in Georgia’s rapidly evolving supply chain and advanced manufacturing ecosystem,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “Steel and aluminum are critical to Georgia’s advanced manufacturing industry, which has seen tremendous growth outside of the metro Atlanta area recently. We are grateful to our local communities for creating jobs and opportunities in every corner of the state.”

Mimecri, USA LLC has leased a 50,000 square foot building in an existing, established industrial park in Thomasville. The remainder of 2022 will be spent making improvements to the building. The equipment has been ordered with plans for installation in first quarter of 2023, and hiring will begin spring of 2023.

“Mimecri is a perfect fit for Thomasville, family-owned, great people and high-quality jobs,” said Thomasville PDA Executive Director Shelley Zorn. “There will be opportunities for managers, machine operators and office personal. These will be skilled jobs at very competitive salary levels. And Mimecri has plans beyond this first phase to growth as the company expands their U.S. customer base.”

The PDA has been working with Mimecri for about a year, Zorn said. Company officials have visited Thomasville twice, with their most recent visit about a month ago.

They also visited firearms manufacturers, including Remington, Taurus, and Daniel Defense. Zorn said the new company’s products won’t interfere with those produced by Check-Mate.

Zorn said the new company is family-oriented and has been in business since 1964.

“Mimecri is also the perfect fit for the state of Georgia. The state of Georgia has really positioned itself as a leader in the firearms industry. Furthermore, a business-friendly environment truly matters on the local and state level, especially for foreign companies. Thomasville PDA greatly appreciates the many partnerships that helped land this prospect, including, but not limited to the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Electric Cities of Georgia, City of Thomasville, Thomas County Government and Thomasville Thomas County Chamber of Commerce.”
