No new deaths, hospitalizations from COVID

As of Tuesday, more than 23,450 Thomas County residents, 53% of the population, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the state Department of Public Health. More than 59,910 doses of vaccine have been administered to Thomas County residents, according to the state Department of Public Health. In all, 43% of Thomas County residents have received full vaccination and an additional dose.
Grady County has had more than 28,680 vaccines administered, with more than 11,520 people, 46% of the population, being fully vaccinated. According to the state DPH, 39% of Grady County residents are fully vaccinated and have received an additional dose.
The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 8,869 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 180 deaths. There also have been 630 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 14 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 3,709 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 83 deaths and 273 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county added 10 new cases in the last two weeks.
Statewide, there have been more than 1.99 million confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 31,836 deaths and more than 113,930 hospitalizations.
More than 18.38 million tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the state, with a rate of 12.1% for positive results.
Statewide, there have been 22,893 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks.
The state has issued more than 15.1 million vaccinations, and 57% of all Georgia residents, more than 5.88 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
