Team Lean closes 2022 competition with 3K pounds lost

Team Lean 2022 came to a close last week as winners were announced after the eight-week weight loss challenge. A total of 3,254 pounds were shed where 150 people completed the program and 24 teams finished in good standing.
The Team Lean weight loss program is sponsored by the Thomasville YMCA, Archbold Memorial Hospital, Live Better, Barberitos, Chick-fil-A and the Thomasville Times-Enterprise. Final results were announced on Facebook live from the Thomasville YMCA page.
The big winner was Gravy Seals, which lost almost 20% of the team’s body weight. The winning team took home a total cash prize of $1,500. Team members were Chris Jones, Karen Jones, Kent Alligood, and Chad Parkerson.
The top female winner was Christina Blanton of Juice Caboose. She took home a cash prize of $400 for her 19.34% weight loss. Chris Jones of Gravy Seals was the top male winner and took home $400 for his 23.06% weight loss.
Rounding out the top three in the female category were: second place, Karen Jones (18.6%), $300 cash prize and third place, Karen Fletcher (18.43%), $200 cash prize.
Rounding out the top three in the male category were: second place, Joey Rollins (21.52%), $300 cash prize and third place, Kent Alligood (19.81%), $200 cash prize.
Cash prizes were awarded to the top three teams. Rounding out the team category winners were: second place, Juice Caboose (19.05%), $1,250 cash prize; and third place, Waist Away (13.14%), $1,000 cash prize.
In addition to the weight-loss incentives, Team Leaners were also competing for two $500 cash prizes from Archbold Memorial Hospital Live Better Award for health screenings. Winners were determined by the greatest reduction in cholesterol levels between the first and last weigh ins. Health screen winners were Christa Graham and Joey Rollins.
