As of Monday, more than 22,610 Thomas County residents, 51% of the population, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the state Department of Public Health. More than 56,340 doses of vaccine have been administered to Thomas County residents, according to the state Department of Public Health. In all, 42% of Thomas County residents have received full vaccination and an additional dose. 

Grady County has had more than 27,070 vaccines administered, with more than 11,100 people, 45% of the population, being fully vaccinated. According to the state DPH, 38% of Grady County residents are fully vaccinated and have received an additional dose. 

The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 8,843 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 179 deaths. There also have been 623 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak. 

Thomas County has recorded 16 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH. 

The state DPH has recorded 3,688 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 83 deaths and 271 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added five new cases in the last two weeks. 

Statewide, there have been more than 1.92 million confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 30,965 deaths and more than 110,270 hospitalizations.

More than 17.2 million tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the state, with a rate of 12.3% for positive results. 

Statewide, there have been 6,935 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks. 

The state has issued more than 14.56 million vaccinations, and 56% of all Georgia residents, more than 5.79 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
