Bulldogs split with Early County

The Thomasville Bulldogs split a Region 1-AA doubleheader with Early County on Thursday, bouncing back from a loss in the opener to take the nightcap 11-3.
The Bulldogs (8-4) had just five hits — all singles — in the win but drew six walks and had three batters hit by a pitch.
Jace Lowe was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Carson Fryman was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Gabe Duncan struck out 12 in five innings, holding Early County to two runs on five hits. Thomasville pitchers combined to strike out 17 Early County batters.
In the opener, the Bobcats rallied for three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game and got the winning run in the seventh.
Gaines Harrell was 3-for-3 and drove in two runs for Early, and Dylan Hatton had three RBIs.
Ryan Renfore was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Carson Fryman was 2-for-2 with two doubles and Anderson Everett went 2-for-3 with a double.
Thomasville hosts Cook on Thursday for the start of a three-game region series.
