THOMASVILLE — Jace Lowe’s single to right chased home Beck Nicholson with the game’s only run, and six Thomasville Bulldogs pitchers completed a 1-0 scrimmage shutout of Valdosta on Wednesday.

Lowe and Witt Wetherington, who had a double, each went 2-for-2. 

Jacob Jordan struck out five of the six batters he faced. Gabe Duncan fanned four in two innings, allowing one hit and one walk, and Jadon Lirette allowed a hit and a walk in two scoreless frames. 

In all, Thomasville pitchers fanned 11 Wildcat batters and walked just three, allowing only three hits, all singles.
