No COVID-19 patients at any Archbold facility

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday there are no COVID-19 positive inpatients at any of its facilities.
There have been eight new COVID-19 positive test results over the last week across the Archbold system. The system has had 613 new negative results. Two people were admitted to Archbold facilities in the last week for COVID-19
The system did not record a death from COVID-19 in the last week.
“Reporting zero COVID-19 cases is a huge milestone,” said Darcy Craven, president and CEO of Archbold Medical Center. “We would not have hit this milestone without our amazing staff and the support from our community. While we celebrate this accomplishment, I’d like to reiterate the importance of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and booster, and following CDC safety guidelines. It is our duty to keep our community safe.”
The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 6,069 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 163 deaths. There also have been 544 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 14 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 2,432 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 67 deaths and 239 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added 18 new cases in the last two weeks.
Statewide, there have been more than 1.28 million confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 25,621 deaths and more than 88,900 hospitalizations.
More than 12.9 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10.1% for positive results.
Statewide, there have been 10,414 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks.
The state has issued more than 12 million vaccinations, and 51% of all Georgia residents, more than 5.28 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
