Archbold COVID patient total stands at one

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday there have been 11 new COVID-19 positive test results over the last week, Over the past week, the system has had 687 new negative results. One person was admitted to Archbold facilities in the last week for COVID-19
The system did not record a death from COVID-19 in the last week.
As of Tuesday, there was one COVID-19 positive patient at Archbold Memorial Hospital. There were no COVID-19 positive patients at Mitchell County Hospital, Grady General Hospital or Brooks County Hospital. There are no COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.
Archbold also is reporting there are no COVID-19 positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home, Mitchell Convalescent Center or at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.
The current COVID-19 positive patient in Archbold hospitals had not received the vaccine.
The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 6,060 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 163 deaths. There also have been 543 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 12 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 2,424 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 67 deaths and 239 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added 22 new cases in the last two weeks.
Statewide, there have been more than 1.27 million confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 25,368 deaths and more than 88,200 hospitalizations.
More than 12.7 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10.1% for positive results.
Statewide, there have been 9,291 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks.
The state has issued more than 11.81 million vaccinations, and 50% of all Georgia residents, more than 5.25 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
