THOMASVILLE — On Tuesday, October 26, Brookwood School students participated in the Honor Pledge assembly, where they signed their commitment to uphold the Honor Code against lying, cheating, and stealing, nor tolerating any of these acts. For all students at Brookwood, the concept of personal honor is viewed as an essential cornerstone of a Brookwood education, and it applies to all of their actions.
Honor Council President Elise McPherson ‘22 shared, “Attending the Honor Pledge assembly and signing the Honor Code are core parts of being a Brookwood student. The signing is a tradition at Brookwood, and to have an assembly and collectively agreeing to live lives of honor makes the promise real.”

The commitment students make at the assembly is carried with them in the classroom and beyond. Austin Baker ‘27 said, “If you have honor in your classroom, then you will do good things when nobody is looking. Honor is knowing that you have done the right thing.”
