No new hospitalizations, deaths from COVID in Thomas County in last three days

As of Friday, more than 21,360 Thomas County residents, 48% of the population, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the state Department of Public Health. More than 47,930 doses of vaccine have been administered to Thomas County residents.
More than 23,460 people, 53% of the county’s population, have received at least one dose.
Grady County has had more than 23,010 vaccines administered, with more than 10,560 people, 43% of the population, being fully vaccinated.
The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 6,056 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 162 deaths. There also have been 543 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 10 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 2,416 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 67 deaths and 239 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added 19 new cases in the last two weeks.
Statewide, there have been more than 1.27 million confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 25,352 deaths and more than 87,800 hospitalizations.
More than 12.6 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10.2% for positive results.
Statewide, there have been 9.345 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks.
The state has issued more than 11.69 million vaccinations, and 50% of all Georgia residents, more than 5.24 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
