Dear Editor:

As Thomasville Entertainment Foundation prepares to kick off our 84th concert season, we want to take a moment to say a sincere thank you for the amazing support which has buoyed our nonprofit organization through 19 months of turbulent seas!

Without the generous support we received from our season ticket holders, our patrons and donors, our program book advertisers and the individuals and foundations who providing funding for our live performance and educational outreach mission, TEF might not have weathered this storm. Along with the hands-on work of an unusually dedicated group of trustees and volunteers, we have not only survived; we have thrived.  This community – and indeed the entire Red Hills region – has helped us stay viable and vital, and we are so grateful.

Our recognition and appreciation for these gifts of time and talents also extends to our media partners throughout the region, including the Thomasville Times-Enterprise and WPAX locally. We support local journalism because of their efforts to help community-benefit organizations like TEF tell our story over the years, and, more recently, to communicate the ongoing changes, adjustments and challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know that some of our nonprofit and arts colleagues in Georgia and across the country were not so lucky, so we do not take our good fortune lightly. While we know there may yet be some logistical challenges ahead, we are optimistic about being able to share the magic of live performance with you again this season!

“Thank you” seems like such a small phrase to express all the gratitude and appreciation we feel as we open a new season, but for what it’s worth, from all of us at TEF…  thank you!
