Thomas County testing site expands hours, relocates

THOMASVILLE — To meet the needs of COVID-19 testing in the Thomas County area, Southwest Public Health has temporarily relocated the testing site and will increase testing days and hours starting September 27. 

The testing site has been moved from the fairgrounds to St. Luke CME Church located at 305 Chatham Dr., Thomasville. The site is open Sept. 23-24 from 9am to noon. Availability will expand starting Monday, September 27 to Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The tests administered at this site are PCR tests, and results are typically available within 48 hours.

COVID-19 testing is free and available to everyone, regardless of county of residence. Appointments aren’t required, but pre-registration will make your testing site visit quicker and can be completed online at mako.exchange/splash/GAmakotesting.
